We believe God has called us to establish an accessible, modern, bible-based church in Abingdon that worships in a contemporary way and demonstrates the love and power of Jesus.
We welcome everyone, regardless of background and aim to create an environment that is fun, informal and culturally relevant, where God is working in power and lives are being healed and transformed through the Holy Spirit. Also, we aim to train and equip the followers of Jesus, so they have a close relationship with the living God, can reach their potential and be effective in extending the Kingdom of God.
Abingdon Vineyard was established in 2006, planted out of Oxford Vineyard Church. The church is led by the Senior Pastors, Ray & Ellie Ball who together with their team are committed to providing an informal and welcoming church where anyone can feel comfortable to be a part of or simply to visit and be refreshed.
We fully subscribe to the Vineyard Statement of Faith
and to Vineyard values such that these are woven into all that we do. Our vision has always been to be a church without walls, relevant to the community of Abingdon and open to anyone who feels drawn to visit us.
We are a worshipping church and a church where God's word is offered in teaching that is relevant to daily lives. The bible and prayer are foundational to all that we do and feature in our Sunday meetings and our small groups.
When you visit this church you will find a welcoming and informal setting where you can be who you are, particate as much or as little as you want, but most of all enjoy the presense of the Lord. We look forward to meeting you if you choose to visit.
